Architecture Art Project: Hallak chain of eyeglass stores

Hallak

The concept for the interior design of Hallak chain of eyeglass stores was concentrated on branding by developing unique features which would become the identifying elements in each of its boutiques.

The counter is a sculptural form (shape and size conceived according to store) in deep violet polyurethane.

The eyeglass shelving is in light stainless steel. Moveable wooden partitions can be used as separation between brands, with either a mirror feature or a detail to show a particular model.
Storage is comprised of low drawers and cupboards in light wood with stainless steel feet made of the letters and numbers of an optometrist’s eye chart. The irregular heights of the storage compartments evoke the silhouette of a city skyline.

In stores where a structural column disrupts the unity of the space a ‘flower mirror’ detail has been developed, turning it into a feature which allows the client to see his/her reflection from several angles at once. In a particular store, a mirror is clad with a specially developed stainless steel lace of forms, which partially covers it without disturbing its function.
