Cine Orchestre July 29

Ehdeniyat International Festival 2017 Opening Night will be in an exceptional Lebanese work of art. For the very first time in Lebanon, the theatre, cinema and music will meet in one place to carry the audience through a timeless journey whose phases are national and international popular musical film tracks that have influenced our lives and are forever alive in our memory.

It is a night to honour cinema & music through live performances of immortal pieces of music with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra formed by 70 musicians conducted by Maestro "Lubnan Baalbaki"; in the background, a giant screen will showcase interaction with the played music to take us to the world of each film. This special night is prepared and directed by George Khabbaz and his team. The work will also host artists and wonderful voices as guests of the event to interact with tracks of movies such as:
Cinema Paradiso - Godfather - Starwars - Singing in the rain - Caramel - .... and other films that have enriched the international and Lebanese cinema.

Ehdeniyat International Festival is proud to bring together creative Lebanese talents onto its stage in a cultural, cinematic and musical work with dreamy scenes to combine cinema, music and theatre. A must-see work that can be barely described with words.

Their rousing, sensual electro-pop anthems about political freedoms, LGBT rights, race, religion and modern Arabic identity have challenged the status quo of the Middle-Eastern pop industry. Mashrou’ Leila have won fans worldwide and were the first Middle-Eastern artists on the cover of Rolling Stone
