Biography and article:

Born in 1982, Yerevan, Armenia.

In 2002 graduated Terlemezian's college of Fine Arts.
In 2008 graduated Yerevan's Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2003-2006 took part in group exhibitions.
In 2007 had solo exhibition in Yerevan.

Young artist painter Zaruhi Tovmasyan had her first solo exhibition in Narekatsi Art Centre in Yerevan. In her works we see hand of mature artist. Exhibition's title is Mythological motives. Themes of the paintings remind enlive old canvasses. In modern style all figures are showed in different plastic movement. Color is very clear and ringing. When we are looking at these paintings, we feel us in the Mythological world and in another epoch. The artist has many other themes-landscapes, which express dynamics and movement, works in Christianity themes ("Worshiping of Hersmen").The artist gives a lot of hopes and a new perception of art.
