Biography

Born in Lebaa, Jezzine, in 1977

- He obtained a diploma in painting.
- He has more that 90 private and collective exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad.
- He obtained many diplomas, awards and prizes.
- He participated in many artistic activities and symposiums between 1993 till the present time.
- He has executed the Holy Trinity icon of 36 square meters.
- He executed many huge artistic frescos, some of them reached 125 square meters.
- He executed many artistic studios for television stations.
- He executed many artistic calendars , including "Our Beautiful Villages", "Our Dear South" which had a tremendous positive resonance in showing the beautiful sites in Lebanon.
- He taught the painting courses for many beginner artists
- His paintings are spread in many countries abroad , mainly in France, the USA and Canada
- He established a private exhibition in the ST Laurent Museum in Montreal , Canada
- He established a private exhibition in the royal center for the Greek Catholics in Canada
- Ghassan Mahfouz is the first painter in the world who exhibits his works in the ICAO center in the downtown of Montreal.
- He was known for his beautiful representations on ancient pottery that could link the past to the present and illustrate the relationship between men and the soil, to the point that he became specialized in this field.

- Since he was a child, Mahfouz was known for painting faces / portraits, so he painted many presidents and eminent famous personalities and religious chiefs; his love for church related topics made him paint many other paintings for the churches and convents, and many others.

His latest work was the frescos of the saint Tekla Church in Sid El Bouchrieh (Lebanon) that captured the admiration of the church for what it contains as innovated paintings that crystallized a great liturgical reality.

محفوظ اختصر أنظمة الحياة في لوحاته فهي تاريخ بسيط شفاف بلونه الازرق وعطاء وتضحية في جبل يغلب عليه اللون الاحمر وجمال انثوي يفرض نفسه وألوان تتشابك وتنفجر فتكون الحياة.
