Artist Statement:

When the light begins its emissions, clouds of darkness fade and the hidden taking its shape, Discloses the beauty and magnificence of life and the other face of it, in order to shift the fingertips of the artist and the pages of life no matter how awful, to interesting artwork.

The works reflect the struggle of man with machines of death and darkness, turning his deep sense, the elegance of his brilliant ideas, to the innocent object, who lives in the conscience of people this is the case and this distinguishes him from other.

He does not turn his back to reality, but addresses and rebuilding, as an artist is always looking forward to other worlds may not be seen by others, and it is always the real diagnosis and the true reflecting of life, the things that influence the artist are always of simplicity so it is not be seen from other people, embodied in a significant artistic work, and his independent point of view which makes him a model of moral courage, to say the facts, turning the accumulations and the experience of years, to work that lives forever.

I am as an artist, I learned the technical rules of art and I learned fully to exceed them in a timely manner, turning my back for what I have learned, leaving my soul sinks in the worlds of spiritual renewal, discovery and experimentation.

Although my works have drawn very spontaneous, but they have a great deal of the aesthetic and cultural awareness, the experiences the past years of learning from the success and failure based on the experiences of my predecessors in this area .

Introducing, some of my works in childhood, this stage is filled of ideas, these ideas were innocent on the basis that the graphic was a small writing in my mind, I did not ever think to control of my instrumental art, but to control the thoughts and which were inconsistent with the guidance of senior professors that Baghdad was full of them .

I was far from their thoughts and attitudes of art, although virtue of professional stature and history major, they did not think in the art of children and its great importance to highlight the talents of a deep and tales of the utmost magnificence.

Where I entered an art exhibition for the children of Ross, they succumbed to the art school of brutality, and I met them, they were close to me, to the extent that their way of drawing breath away and their courage in coloring , and their visions of genuine , and sense of higher, affecting me.

They were the best proof of what I have suffered at the beginning of my use of color and took the liberty of drawing spontaneously and made it easy for and more fun when I see my mind and my hand putting the color after the other in order to form in front of me Nice work.

And completed my studies with something of hope and pessimism at times altogether, but the shades of color comes in front of me whenever depart from my dream moved closer to the color and mud.

I reduced the reality and painted caricature with dare and cautiously, to ridicule them of everything is driving me out of my way.

And lame on the stage of academic study because it was important and gave me a large area of expression and years of technical education through the historical study of all schools of art, it also gave me a broad scope of expression.

And started from the point that I want that is a drawing, with colors and emotions of a sincere and technology has always been the most important pillars of strength and simplicity of expression.

And started with a group of business-oriented itself, affected by the senior artist believe in freedom of action and the reflection of art on the ground, women and animals are the best proof of that, Since the touch and the courage had great importance to me in this business .

Overdo it at the expense of the subject, work of art to me, malleable and configurable, the technique, color and raw material employed in the service is always the subject, and as the central issue is human, but some had insisted on the importance of academic study.

And returned again to prove the opposite of what is going on mind of others, is that the artist is not looking, do not venture, he escapes from the academic study exacting nothing else, and began to draw a business seminar, but I always say that failure is not in failure after experimentation, but is the lack of experimentation, and non-diving in the worlds of the unknown is the end of creativity.

فنان متفرغ

تشير لوحات الفنان سيف قاسم الى اسلوب التكعيبيه وتشويه المفردات بالتوازن مع معايير اللوحه وبتفاوت فني ملحوظ يتبعه تحليل اللون بخلق التجانس الذي يبتغيه الفنان ليجمع مابين ثيمه معطيات الشكل والفكره وهو ميال لتحطيم المضامين والاشكال محاولا اعادتها بطريقه مثلى وهو بذلك يترك المشاهد يشعر ويفسر لوحاته التي اتخذت منحى الحداثه والرمزيه والتكعيبيه وحسبما يرى بان ذلك يدعى مفهوم التكسيريه ولا يقصد بها طبعا التكعيبيه التي قام بها بيكاسو بعد ثورته الفنيه على الكلاسيكيه لترتبط بذلك بمراحل واساليب الوحشيه والتنقيطيه والسرياليه وغيرها.

ويقول الفنان الشاب ,,بعد تجرجي من اكاديميه الفنون الجميله وبعد اطدامي بالواقع واحداث 2003 رايت الواقع محطما مهشما ومقتولا فاردت التعبير عن ذلك بالشروع والدخول بابعاد تعطى طابع التوليفه للمساحات اللونيه فانطلقت بها الى عالم ابتعدت فيه عن الواقعيه وقد يكون ذلك هروبا من الفن الكلاسيكي والرومانسي ,,فاشار عند هذه النقطه الى انه قد اثبت امكانياته في الرسم الاكاديمي والهمته كثيرا جمعه للعناصر في عمل واحد لكثره تجاربه.

واوضح ,, انني تجاوزت الواقعيه التي لم تجعلني اصل الى ما اريد كفنان فوجدت نفسي مودعا لها فهناك مراحل للفن عديده يمر بها الفنان وعلي ان لا انحصر بقالب الشكل والاسلوب فرغبت باقتحام دواخل الاشياء مع ودي الشديد في ردود المتفرج للعمل الفني .

وعن مفهوم التكسيريه الذي يعمل عليه الفنان فكان رأيه هو تحطيم الاشكال واختيار طرق لاعاده منظومه التهشيم والكسر الذي يشمل جوانب عده من الحياة والفن محاولا تصنيعها من جديد فهي كالابتكار وليس اسلوب ولا مدرسه جديده بل هي قضيه ابداعيه يدمج العلم مع الفن بمفاهيم عصريه وقاطعنا حديثه بسؤال عن وفره برامج عديده على الحاسوب لابراز مقاطع لونيه متداخله جميله يعمل بها المصممون والرسامون اجاب , نعم لكنها ليست عمليه ابداعيه ولا تخدم الفنان وعن خطوطه اللونيه التي بداها فكانت منذ ان كان عمره الست سنوات ويضيف الفنان الشاب ان الموهبه ليست كافيه للفنان بل الاهم هو نضوج تجربته الفنيه من خلال صقل قدراته المستمره حتى يمكنه من تطويرها ولمعرفه امكانياته في تخطي مراحل فنيه يشهدها ليكون فنان بحق .
